‘I’m 63 and this is the best foundation I’ve ever used’

Shoppers are raving about a foundation that looks ‘effortlessly natural’ and ‘doesn’t settle in fine lines’, with one 63-year-old claiming it’s the ‘easiest and best foundation’ they’ve ever used. For a limited time, Amazon is offering the makeup product for less, so if you fancy giving it a try for yourself, now is the time.

The Laura Geller Baked Balance-N-Glow Illuminating Foundation is ‘award-winning’ and gives users ‘radiant skin and a flawless base without sparkles or cakiness’. The satin-finish baked powder foundation has a creamy texture and contains self-adjusting pigments that are infused with pearl to give you a ‘natural-looking glow all day long’.

The foundation is buildable to give your desired coverage and is available in six shades. It usually costs £28, but Amazon is currently selling the foundation at a discounted price, with each shade varying in cost.

The ’03 light’ colour is the cheapest option costing £18.44, with the other shades ranging from £19.60 to £24.65. You can browse all of the shade options and prices here.

The Baked Balance-N-Glow Illuminating Foundation is infused with vitamin C to help brighten skin, even out skin tone, diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and protect skin. Laura Geller says the powder is perfect for mature skin, uneven complexions, and those with fine lines and wrinkles, as the ‘light and airy’ baked foundation gives you a satin finish and subtle glow, ‘no matter your skin type’.

To apply the power foundation, the brand recommends using its Retractable Kabuki Brush with the sleeve pushed all the way down for a light coverage. Swirl the brush in the foundation compact and stroke on your face, blending outward and upward building up the foundation to your desired coverage.

For fuller coverage, use the brush with the protective sleeve pulled almost all the way up. Swirl it in the foundation, then stroke on the face and blend outward and upward, repeating to build coverage.

Over 13,300 Amazon customers have reviewed the Laura Geller Baked Balance-N-Glow Illuminating Foundation to date, with 8,100 of those awarding the product five stars. One happy customer said: “I’m 63 and this is the easiest and best foundation I have ever used. Over the years I think I have tried every brand available from ultra expensive to cheap, but this is definitely the easiest and best for me. I have used this product for years and I only have to purchase a new one every 18 months because it lasts forever.”

They did, however, find it ‘doesn’t cover age spots’, but they went on to explain: “I use a full coverage concealer on the age spots before applying this magic makeup. It looks effortlessly natural, never cakey, doesn’t settle in fine lines and it’s done in seconds. Just swirl onto a clean makeup brush, swirl onto the face and sweep down the neck. It couldn’t be easier and you don’t even feel like you’re wearing makeup. It lasts all day with no need for a touch up. Amazing product, just give it a try.”

A second thrilled user commented: “I love the way that this powder foundation is light and doesn’t sit in wrinkles on my skin. Being over 60 this is a problem with some powders and nearly all liquids, however this gives an even coverage, hides minor blemishes and has a natural finish, without drying my skin. Highly recommended.”

A third wrote: “I don’t usually wear makeup, so I wanted something easy to use that brings a bit of life to my face every now and then. It’s super easy, covers pretty well and I really like the natural colour. I’ll definitely buy it again when I finish it.”

Someone else added: “I’m thrilled with this Laura Geller product. So easy to apply and it looks good, as well as feeling light.”

You can buy the Laura Geller Baked Balance-N-Glow Illuminating Foundation on sale at Amazon for £18.44 to £24.65 depending on the shade. Alternatively, Sephora is selling the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Powder Foundation costing £34, while Boots has the L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24H Fresh Wear Powder Foundation priced at £13.99.
