How to remove suncream stains from clothes with one natural ingredient

As the summer sun finally graces the UK, Brits are reaching for their suncream.

However, one of the most irksome stains to tackle is that unsightly yellowish mark left by a splatter of sunblock on your clothes.

Fear not, there’s a simple method to eliminate these greasy blemishes – with no harsh chemicals or vigorous scrubbing needed, ensuring your garments remain stain-free and undamaged.

Eucalyptus oil is the ultimate stain remover, as recommended by the experts at Crew Clothing.

Begin by immersing the stained garment in cold water, then liberally apply the oil to the stain before running it through a cold wash cycle in the machine, preventing the stain from setting.

This all-natural solution is unbeatable as it’s gentle on fabrics. But there’s an array of other tips and tricks for removing sunblock stains without resorting to harsh chemicals.

Lemon juice and vinegar offer another effective way to remove the stain, but swift action is key.

As soon as you spot the mark, apply the juice or vinegar and then sprinkle it with salt to counteract the oil and draw it out of the fabric, reports the Mirror.

Allow the solution to sit for at least an hour, or ideally overnight, to prevent the stain from setting.

Baking soda and dishwashing liquid can also be effective. Combine one teaspoon of dishwashing liquid and one teaspoon of baking soda with some warm water in a spray bottle.

Once prepared, spray it over the stain and gently dab at any stains. This solution can also brighten up dingy white clothes and restore them to their original state.

By opting for more natural stain removers, you can maintain your lightweight and delicate clothing stain-free for longer, ensuring you look your best throughout the summer.
