Debenhams slash 55% off ‘warm and not bulky’ coat in four colours

Bargain hunters are swarming to Debenhams to snap up a Mountain Warehouse coat with an impressive 55% discount ahead of winter. The Alaskan Waterproof 3-in-1 Long Padded Coat, is now being offered for £99.99 instead of its original price of £219.99  – but only for a limited time.

In versatile colours like black, khaki, navy and grey, and ranging in sizes from six to 18, this coat is the perfect “warm but not bulky” addition to any winter wardrobe. Not only does it ooze style, it also showcases different functionality — being lightweight, breathable, and most importantly, rainproof.

Boasting a nifty removable padded inner jacket for those icy days and a tough waterproof exterior complete with taped seams and adjustable hood to fend off the downpours, the jacket ensures optimum comfort by letting sweat out while keeping rain at bay.

But that’s not all — it’s a true money saver due to its 3-in-1 wearing options. Whether it’s just the waterproof shell on rainy days, the cosy padded inner when it’s dry but frosty, or combined when the weather throws everything at you, it adapts to your needs, reports Manchester Evening News.

With glowing endorsements and a 4.5-star rating at Debenhams, it’s proving popular among shoppers. One buyer raved about the jacket’s lightweight yet snug feel and is eager to put it to the test against the elements saying: “Lovely warm coat, very smart and stylish too. The puffer part of the coat isn’t really thick so doesn’t feel uncomfortable when all zipped up and also a bargain at nearly half the price.

One customer praised the coat saying, “Waterproof and windproof. Really slim and not bulky – looking forward to using it in spring with the two different layers.”

Another satisfied buyer remarked, “Worn it once so far and it’s extremely warm. Great fit, bought to take to the Lake District so hoping the waterproof will come into effect. I love mountain warehouse clothing and this coat is very good.”

Yet, not everyone was left happy; a dissatisfied shopper criticised the Alaskan Waterproof 3 In 1 Long Padded Coat for its pocket design, awarding a one-star review and commenting: “The coat was expensive. The internal pocket was not sewn at the bottom of the pocket, therefore was totally useless, so was not a pocket at all. I actually lost my mobile phone which I had put in the pocket, assuming it was an actual pocket.”

Meanwhile, another Debenhams customer declared their delight, adding: “Absolutely love this coat. Was a bit unsure whether to order because I thought the puffer part of the coat may have been too puffy but it’s just right.”

In other shopping news, the Penweathers Waterproof Trench Coat is available in six colours for £170 from Seasalt Cornwall, and it comes in petite, regular and tall sizes. The hood is adjustable and can be detached, the cuffs and it has angled reverse entry pockets to keep out the rain.

Elsewhere ASOS offers the Rains 12020 Unisex Waterproof Long Jacket in green for £95.
